Announcing the Adopt-A-Banner Program
The ArtWalk will once again return to Main Street Bethlehem in August, marking our sixth year of enlivening the streets of this quiet village. We’ve learned quite a bit over the last six years, but perhaps the most valuable lesson has been that it truly takes a community to pull off such an event. Our sole purpose has always been to enrich the culture, commerce, and community of Bethlehem. Thanks to an army of volunteers, countless hours of hard work, and the generous support of individuals and organizations such as yourself, we have been able to make some serious magic happen. Two of our proudest moments were when we revealed the community mural on the side of the WREN building and when we gave the vacant Lloyd Hill building on Route 302 a colorful makeover. So what do we have planned this year? So much my friends, we hardly know where to start!
We are thrilled to announce that this year, ArtWalk is merging with Old Home Days! We will bring together the most well-loved elements of each festival, making for one very impressive, activity-packed celebration. As part of this new collaboration, we will soon be announcing the Art Car Project and Parade Float Competition, and we are officially starting the ADOPT-A-BANNER Program.
As you’ve noticed, the old town banners are beginning to look a bit run down. The brackets are bent or broken and some of the posts don’t even have banners anymore. One of our committee members has been silently tending to these banners over the last four years while the rest of us hardly noticed. In accordance with our goal to continue to liven and beautify Bethlehem, we plan to repair all of the brackets and replace all of the banners. In a perfect world, we would like to change the banners at least four times a year, but we have decided to start small and focus on two seasons and two of our annual events – ArtWalk Festival and Christmas in Bethlehem Festival.
Your sponsorship contribution offsets the cost of printing banners for our town. You can adopt a town banner at the low price of only $60, and help us continue to make Bethlehem more festive and colorful throughout the year.
