Nate Alberts is a guitarist/singer who has shared the stage with greats such Johnny Winter, Mammas Cookin’ Kenny Loggins, Jerry Joseph and the Jack Mormons , Charlies Daniels and Vince Welnick of the Grateful Dead. Nate has formed a new all-star band featuring guitarist Mike Sundman, Bassist Sam Winn and Pam Manning on drums. Whether performing solo, with his band, or pairing up wih such talented musicians as Jacob Stern from the Crunchy Western Boys, Nate promises a good time that will leave a lasting impression.

Jonathan muses, “ My aim as a songwriter and performer is great rock songs that hit like a missile, big on impact and explosive emotion, a big molecule-rearranging sound that cuts through the radio drone and people shout: ‘holy #!*$!!, who was that?!’

“I write positive uplifting songs in celebration of the Earth, the Universe, Life, and Love! My music is danceable, covers several genres, and is enjoyed by people of all ages. I perform at festivals and venues in New England and I am expanding my touring. My influences include many live performances by many great bands from an early age to the present, my dad and uncles guitar playing and in-depth vinyl sessions, various rock, folk, blues, reggae, soul, funk, bluegrass, jam, grunge, punk, ska, etc. While studying Environmental Science in college, I played guitar and sang covers and few originals at venues in RI and CT just for fun. I had a musical explosion in 2009 when my 2 babies became busy toddlers and I found it easier to pick up my guitar than get my messy paints out. I wrote at least 20 songs, started performing at festivals and other venues, put out a live cd in 2010 and put out my first studio cd, “Positivity” recorded 2011 at Mojo Audio in Easton, NH. I am looking to collaborate with other artists, play some larger venues, promote my music and new cd, and increase the Positivity of the Planet in the process.”

Says Steve, “I’ve finally discovered a method of painting I can live with. Letting go of the idea of success. My motto has become… anything you can paint, you can paint over. These paintings, some of them have been around for years. I love painting over my own work. Failure is the means to success.” Steve’s works have been shown in Phoenix, Arizona, Quebec, and Burlington, Vermont.

Immersed as she was in both the industrial world of textile production and the clean, colorful aesthetic of Finnish design, it is no surprise she is so passionate about fabrics and the artistic possibilities of print and textile design. Nor that she chose to intern in college on the factory floor of a textile printing mill, eventually becoming the third generation at Finlayson as a textile print designer.

Artistically, she draws inspiration from every day life and is strongly influenced by traditional folk art as well as contemporary fine art. She holds a deep respect for the history of textiles, especially handcrafted world textiles. Color choices are an essential component of her work and she is skilled at reducing a design to its essence. But she is also grounded by her familiarity with the serious practicalities of industrial production, coupled with a straightforward sincerity, which has proven quite effective at developing and managing design departments.

Her talent was recognized over the years by the award of three separate grants to assist her work, and a number of her designs are found in the prestigious Museum of Printed Textiles in Mulhouse, France. She was a founding member of MODUS, a Finnish design and craft organization, and has served on the Pirkanmaa Regional Arts Council. Sirpa’s studio(s) is at her home.
After a long series of unfortunate events, they found themselves facing off in a duel over the same piece of art. While the crowd surrounding them cheered and placed bets, they immediately recognized each other from so long ago, tore off their Batman Masks and ran into each others arms, vowing to make art together forever…disappointing the huge crowd that had gathered, but really making the world a better place. I fell in love with painting in my teens when I painted on my first canvas; I have been exhibiting and selling since 2005. Painting feels to me like a glorious exhalation of the mind and soul; I paint joyfully either outside by sunlight and birdsong or inside by candlelight and loud music while dancing. My paintings are whimsical and full of color, because that is how I see the world in my mind’s eye. My subjects include flowers and trees, birds, insects and animals, nature spirits, earthscapes, dreams, symbols, and the universe. “

She soon married her childhood sweetheart and moved to Missoula, MT where she and her husband Richard graduated from the University of Montana.

With her degrees in art and education Donna worked with the schools and continued to work with her arts and crafts. Having the opportunity to live in several art centered towns in Montana, Oregon, and Wyoming she had unique experiences that helped shape her style and develop her interests. While living on the Oregon Coast she worked closely with a master tole painter and did a great deal of design work in that area. During her time in Wyoming she started a cottage business painting antique style duck decoys and hand craved birds her father did. She enjoys watercolor painting but her favorite medium to work with is oils. She likes painting natural scenes including wild animals, plants, fruits and vegetables as subjects and has given most of her work away to friends and family.

Now living in Easton, NH and teaching art full time in Littleton at the high school and middle school her art work is a collection of all of her diverse life experiences and her business, Wildwoods Consulting, is more of a form of pleasure and relaxation then a money making endeavor.

“We are completely surrounded by the forces of nature, and as such daily life is a constant reminder of the connections we share with the universe. I believe to understand those connections is our survival and our evolution.

While I work with a variety of mediums, this desire to connect to the whole is a common chord in all of my work. The thread that ties us together is very simply our DNA. My focus over the last year is to work simply with an array of color, without introducing recognizable icons in to the piece.

It’s much the same as when you gaze up in to the heart of a tree… it becomes an abstract world of lights and darks, colors, lines, textures… pulling you in to its embrace. It’s this sensation I am attempting to recreate.

My art is full of as much play and uncertainty as nature itself…..a mirror reviving in new forms the ancient tension between order and chaos”
